We all love food here, it’s probably the reason you’re on this site! I bet there are some of you out there that are extremely good cooks. Everyone always compliments your meals and says you should open your own restaurant. Well, what if you actually did? What if you opened your own restaurant?
Thinking about giving it a go? Then Make sure you consider the three things down below:

Obviously, the most important part of a restaurant is the food. People don’t go to restaurants for a chat; they go there to eat. So, you want your place to have a killer menu that grabs people’s attention. Your menu will depend on what type of eatery you are. If the focus is on meals that are prepared quickly, then it will be different to a fine dining restaurant.
If you’re struggling to think of a theme for your menu, then I have a few suggestions here. You can either go for foods that you know and are comfortable cooking. This is a great choice for small restaurants that are family owned; you can cook some family dishes. Or, you pick a cuisine that is popular – like Tex-Mex. The final choice is that you go for a cuisine that is unique to your location. What this means is that no other restaurants around you sell the same types of dishes.
You must know that the food in your restaurant is safe to eat. Selling unsafe food will be very bad and get you shut down. Make sure all the food you buy is fresh and good enough to eat without getting food poisoning. You even have to consider things like cheese and milk. Milk, in particular, can house lots of bacteria if not properly tested. Testing milk doesn’t take that long, and if you click here, you can see some testing kits if you fancy doing it yourself.
It’s important you know exactly where your food is coming from and how it was made/grown. You don’t want to buy loads of veg from somewhere that uses chemicals to enhance its growth. My advice would be to buy organic, natural foods. This is much healthier and less likely to be unsafe.

The secret behind all great restaurants is the kitchen. The kitchen is where you will prepare and make all of the food for your guests. If you don’t have one, then you won’t be able to serve any food. It’s so important that you have a decent sized kitchen in your restaurant. It needs to be comfortable to work in – especially if you have a few chefs. Small kitchens can make the restaurant space cheaper to afford, but they’re harder to work in. Plus, the kitchen has to have enough space for all the equipment you need.
You’ve then got the option of whether you go for a closed or open kitchen. Some restaurants like to have their kitchen in a place that customers can see into. So, they get to watch the chefs at work. Others prefer it to be hidden, so it’s more closed off from the rest of the restaurant.
